If using one frequently, it needs to be thoroughly cleaned. Experts have shared how to do this simply by using soapy water.

"Empty any excess crumbs, oil, or food particles from the bottom of the air fryer. Dispose of them properly."

After making these preparations, homeowners can freshen up their air fryer with soapy water.

The experts continued: "If the cooking basket and tray are dishwasher-safe, you can place them in the dishwasher for cleaning.

"Alternatively, you can soak them in warm, soapy water to loosen any stubborn residue."

Using a cloth or sponge, clean all parts of the air fryer.

"Wipe the interior of the air fryer with a damp, soft cloth or sponge," the experts said.

"If there are stuck-on bits, use a soft-bristle brush or non-abrasive scrubbing pad to gently remove them. Be careful not to damage the non-stick coating.

"Use a soft brush or cloth to gently clean the heating element, if accessible. Do this carefully to avoid damaging the element.
